Since 2013, Imagination Academy has offered educational art programs to students with links to art, social studies and science, inspiring creative learning.

Most programs are cross curricular and encourage students to creatively explore, engage, and share ideas through drawings and carvings for each art topic. They’ll learn various drawing techniques to create a final and unique piece of printmaking art they’ll be proud of.

We have created art with over 39,000 students in over 210 schools and been an Artist in Residence at 30 different schools.

In-School Art Field Trips

In-School Art Field Trips are where an art instructor visits your school/classroom and provides one or two art programs in a single day. Each teachers can choose from a variety of printmaking themes for their grade/class. Each art program will be ~90 minutes, taking place in your classroom. We set up, clean up and bring all the supplies!

Students receive a drawing lesson and use proper printmaking tools to create their own Linocut art print. Teachers can book this independently or with other teachers at their school. Click below to learn more!

Artist in Residence

An Artist in Residence Program is when a whole school participates in a collective art experience. The art instructor comes to the school for 1-3 weeks (depending on your school population size) and creates art with all classes/students. The school can choose from one of the school-wide themes offered; An Animal Story, Canada Coast to Coast, or The Arctic and the Inuit.

Grants are available to schools to help cover the cost of the Artist in Residence programs. Click below to learn more!
